Overview:
Pharmacies are playing an important role in the fight against COVID-19. Now more than ever, communities of all sizes rely on their local pharmacy to provide essential medication and treatments.
Day Lewis Pharmacy serves small village communities, making sure everyone has convenient and safe access to the medication they need.
The PMC team has been providing reactive maintenance for Day Lewis Pharmacy for two years. We help them with the major essentials like plumbing, drainage, heating, and electrics, as well as repairs for flooring and ceilings, joinery, landscaping, and painting.
The Challenge – Keeping essential services open at the time they’re most needed:
Day Lewis Pharmacy is at the front line of the Coronavirus crisis and their services are essential. Whatever happens, they need to stay open so they can keep distributing medicines.
Their North West and Yorkshire community pharmacies needed on-demand repair and essential maintenance, and robust social distancing measures to keep staff and customers safe. As medication becomes more and more in demand, Day Lewis Pharmacy also needed to keep stock safe and secure.
How PMC helped keeping essential services open
Our routine reactive maintenance service became focused on helping Day Lewis Pharmacy stay open and keeping their staff and customers safe. We provide reactive essential maintenance services for plumbing, drainage, heating, electrics, doors and locks. If an automatic door jammed or the air conditioning stopped working, we were there fast.
To help staff and customers follow social distancing measures, we installed tape guides on the floor throughout the pharmacy and fitted glass barriers at the counter.
Some of the fixes we provided might have been small, but they made a huge difference to staff and customers, so we made sure everything was sorted quickly and professionally. Day Lewis Pharmacy’s main priority is serving communities and we proudly helped them do that in an extremely demanding and difficult period.
Results:
- All North West and Yorkshire Day Lewis Pharmacies stayed open.
- All emergency callouts responded to within 4 hours.
- Quality, Efficient and reliable maintenance.
Day Lewis Pharmacies across Yorkshire and the North West have stayed open and trading. We attended all emergency jobs within our specified time frames. We’ve always delivered speed and reliability for Day Lewis Pharmacy and we’ll keep delivering it while they’re under pressure.
