Situated on the former site of the longest running Royal Air Force base, RAF Burtonwood, Omega is strategically located on both sides of the M62 at Junction 8, just outside Warrington town center and close to several retail park sites. Junction 2 of the M6 is also a short drive away, providing easy access to the North West and South West of the country.

Omega is a short drive from Liverpool, which lies west along the M62, with its dock and deep water container terminals. Slightly further afield to the East lies Manchester and its large international airport.

Omega’s current occupants include ASDA, The Hut Group, Amazon, Hermes, Dominos and Travis Perkins to name a few. There are long term plans for further business, retail and residential developments, with a ‘Green Heart’ planned at the development’s center.

Client’s needs:

Due to the sheer extent and size of the site, the client needed a company with the resources, experience and structure to manage a large site. With some of the largest companies in the world occupying warehousing on the site, the client needed a gounds maintenance company it could rely on. At the same time, Colliers International was keen to support the local economy and community, one of the prime objectives of the Omega development, by partnering with a smaller, local contractor.

The site is a huge challenge due to its sheer size. It takes a lot of organisation and great communication not only between the team here at PMC, but also between PMC and the management company, Colliers International. 

We have developed a stron relationship with Collier’s International over the years, which helps us enormously with the upkeep of the Omega site.

Due to our involvement on the site for the planned ground maintenance, we are able to identify and report other issues on the site effectively and resolve them through responsive reactive maintenace work. 

Results:

PMC have been providing grounds maintenance services at Omega in Warrington for over eight years now – in 2019 we won the tender for the third time. We think this speaks volumes about the quality of our work.
