Reactive Maintenance Service provided for retail giant, ASDA, across the Northwest

Onboarding ASDA to PMC’s Reactive Maintenance Service Portfolio:

PMC was awarded a contract with Asda in 2020, across their Northwest properties. They currently operate over 600 retail units across the UK, including; superstores, supermarkets, George, Asda Living and petrol stations.  

Asda’s helpdesk team got in touch with PMC to enquire about our specialist reactive maintenance services and requested our assistance for the exterior of one of their properties.

The Challenge:

The issue reported to PMC required our reactive maintenance services. Our team attended the Asda Retail unit in Stoneycroft, Liverpool; where a grid cover in the car park had been misplaced causing a potential health and safety hazard for customers. There were also some minor landscaping requirements as well, due to overgrown vegetation and litter issues in a gated area.

PMC’s specialist team attended the Liverpool site to complete initial assessments before installing a new grid cover. This significantly reduced any health and safety hazards for customers attending the Asda store. The team also tended to the gated area and resolved the overgrown vegetation and litter, making the area cleaner and more appealing.

Results:

PMC’s team adhered to all health and safety standards and waste disposal procedures whilst completing the work. We resolved the issue in a timely manner, reducing risk for customers and staff and improving the overall aesthetics of the gated area. 

Our partnerships with commercial properties allow us to assist with reactive maintenance throughout the year. PMC looks forward to engaging with Asda for their reactive maintenance service needs in future, to ensure the smooth running of their day-to-day business.
